From my hometown of Bath, it takes me six hours there and back to travel to Cambridge by train, all in a single day. The place I happily make that journey for is Kettle's Yard, my favourite art gallery in the world. Once the home of collectors Jim and Helen Ede, it is now a house museum and gallery where modern art sits alongside carefully arranged everyday objects, creating a space that feels as much like a lived-in home as it does a museum. It's this place that keeps drawing me back, and over the years I've discovered a handful of other places that make the journey just as worthwhile. This guide brings together my favourite spots to visit when I'm in Cambridge.
